We make custom cutting boards and bowls in our shop and I needed a better attachment for cutting fruit bowls. So we gave this one a try. I was able to cut the bowl in the attached picture in about an hour. It would of took at least 3 times as long with the old attachment. Worth the money.

After getting this one I fell in love with it. Wound up with several in different grits. Have carved quite a few things including a 23” long poplar dough bowl.

Absolutely incredible! I’ve been using a chainsaw to rough out 1/4 Lifesize bald eagle blanks and as much as it’s torn up the wood, I may as well have used my teeth! Working with cedar that takes a chainsaw well except at the edges of the wood where it shreds it. This wheel literally takes the waste wood off like a hot knife through butter, and leaves the surface smooth. One of the best things I’ve ever bought for carving wood. It does create one heck of a lot of dust though, so carving has to be done outside. One other thing… keep your body parts away from the spinning disk… it’s just as effective at removing flesh as wood! Absolutely recommend shaping wheel!

Awesome product! If you’re doing major shaping and need to remove copious amounts of wood, then this is the thing. I got it to do some sculpture on large logs. The very course dish leaves the surface a lot smoother than I would have imagined, its not smooth, but a flap disk will sand it up quickly. One caution, wear heavy leather gloves and be careful. I let it catch a finger and neither my finger nor my glove fared very well. It is not forgiving if it gets a hold of you.

Extremely easy to use and leaves a reasonably smooth surface that requires a minimum of sanding. The only problem is that with no dust collector possible this disperses a lot of fine dust. Best if used outside or with a major dust collector hose near by.

Seemed like a lot of $$ for a simple grinding disc but this thing is a beast. Eats through wood like butter but stays cool in the process. Be careful when attaching to your grinder as the wrench can easily snap off the very strong but brittle tips. Another thing I learned the hard way; wear gloves!

This is awesome. I think it goes from 2500 rpm to 11,500 rpm. Instead of a typical angle grinder that is always at a full blown 11,000 and no way to slow it down. As I used the disc I played with the speed. I noticed at 11,500 rpm it was hard to stay steady and that disc really cuts in. I pulled back by half and My, My, My it was beautifully cutting and smoothing at the same time. I hardly had to sand it and it was easy to control. I loved the disc soooooo much I purchased all of their other bits. I haven’t used those yet but, If they’re anything like the shaping disc. I’m sure I will love them.
