John Langhoff –
These magnets are so handy. Hang from a carabiner on belt loop and pruning shears are easily accessible.

500 lbs pulling force — you ain’t kid’n. I accidentally placed it in my truck with some metal parts. I had a heck of a time pulling them off.
Tisha Bergner –
Tested it on a steel beam. It lived there for a few days. On smaller objects it’s hard to see the full 500lb force. Stick it to something solid and you’ll see. Probably a little too strong for magnet fishing. I ended up cutting a 2″ circle out of 1/2″ wood and gorilla glueing it to the bottom so nothing sticks flat without a little leverage for removal. Works awesome.
