There are different files and speeds so you can choose what’s right for your child. It is easy to use and change the files on and off. This is a must have for new moms! My wife used to be scared cutting our newborn baby’s nail using nail clippers but when she searched on how to cut newborn’s nails she saw one of these and asked me to order from wizzgoo, we used to put mittens all the time coz she gets scratches on her face because her nails are sharp. After she got used to using this nail file she now stopped putting mittens on our 3 month old baby. She found out that when you’re filing a nail you should switch the direction of the spin in the opposite direction when you get to about the middle of the nail so that the sand paper does not fight the spinning motion and it will go smoothly.
When using this nail file, cut from outermost part of the nail then slowly go to the center of the nail then slide the switch to spin in the opposite direction and this will cut very smooth.

The first time I tried cutting my newborns nails, I clipped the tip of her finger. I broke down in tears and felt terrible. I refused to use nail clippers again. I found this on Wizzgoo so I figured I’d give it a try. Well, it is amazing! It files her nails so nice and smooth. So much better!!!! I an at ease now when it’s time to cut her nails. I used this product my first day home from the hospital and at least 3 times a week ever since. My baby is 16 weeks old and it’s safe to say she’s never scratched herself or had to wear mittens. After I accidentally clipped my newborn’s finger with clippers I decided to purchase this. I will never go back to regular clippers again. It is so easy to use and not overly noisy. I love how the pads are colour coded for different ages. You can not hurt your little one with this at all. There are also attachments to do adult nails, I do mine with this as well. 100% great product and would buy again

Why did it take me until the third kid to buy this? This product is awesome and my baby girl doesn’t mind at all when I “trim” her nails. So much easier than trying to cut with those little clippers..then you have those little sharp edges at the corners anyway?! I have to use this a little more often than trimming, but totally with it! Bonus, you can use on your nails as well! I will buy for anyone having a baby!!

My baby is very squirmy. Even as a day old baby in the NICU incubator he had to be restrained because he was moving too much. My point is that his squirminess has just gotten worse and he will not tolerate clippers. It’s like trying to clip nails on an alligator… but he will sit and watch this file and let me file down his nails. He likes the light and vibrations, it seems soothing to him. Additionally, you don’t have to be overly accurate like with clippers. If I’m off or he moves, then it just buffs the skin. It doesn’t tear the skin or hurt him- he just sits and stares. I highly recommend.

One of the best products I bought for our new baby! I was scared to cut her nails for the first time and of course we ended up cutting her finger even with the baby nail clippers. I attempted a different baby nail clipper and again cut her, she hated having them manually filed and would scream and cry. I did a little research and found a recommendation for this product. Being a little desperate I was willing to try anything and it had good reviews which was also reassuring. I bought it and it worked like a charm! It’s so gentle and only files the nail without irritating the surrounding skin. I can even use it while she sleeps as it has a light at the end. I could go on about how amazing and how much these nail files changed cutting my babies nails through the last 3 years, but with this specific one I want to say DO IT! I wish I had gotten the rechargeable one sooner! With the battery operated ones, you always have to change the battery when it gets slow. With this I can just keep charging it and never worry it will be super slow when trying to distract my son while trimming his nails! Only to have to change the battery and then he’s REALLY fed up at that point 😂 I will never look back!

I was skeptical to buy this file/buffer because some of the reviews didn’t seem legitimate. I ended up buying it because it was Prime, and I knew I could return it if it was a bad product. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used this on my 4 day old baby. The softest buffer was soft enough it didn’t hurt my face when I tested it (I wasn’t going to use it on baby skin without testing it out first!) The nail trim for his hands and feet took about 90 seconds total. It was so fast and the baby slept through the whole thing. This is so much better than clippers! I can’t tell you enough how glad I am I discovered this buffer-tool, and I only wish I would have had it with my other kids!

I love most that there’s multiple attachments so it will help cut my babies nails for months to come. The newborn one is so gently that it doesn’t cut or irritate skin but cuts nails quickly. I didn’t find the light to be helpful; I think its in an awkward place but I have learned to cut their nails during the day at nap time. Would recommend to nervous first time parents!

I’m so glad I bought this nail trimmer. My newborn tries to claw at her face when she’s hungry or gassy, and I hated leaving mittens on her all the time because I feel like she was being deprived of important sensory sensations for her development. Biting her nails isn’t ideal, and tiny emery boards take way too long and aren’t very effective. This nail trimmer is awesome, I was able to get all her tiny nails nice and short so she can’t scratch herself anymore. She slept through the whole manicure. I would recommend this nail trimmer to any parent.

I’m too terrified to cut my baby’s nails with clippers as I cut his skin the 1st time I tried so- bought this. It’s pretty quick, he doesn’t mind it. The light is basically useless in most angles. The only hard part is the corner of the nails come really sharp so you have to kind of manipulate the finger to expose them to file them down with the rest of the nail. It takes some practice but at least I can’t hurt him this way.

My baby is very fussy when it comes to trimming her nails. I read on other baby boards that recommended an electronic file. This one specifically. It is easy to use and I use the appropriate file according to her age. Now trimming her nails isn’t a fight and she actually is pretty entertained by the light on the device. I like that the file is strong enough to trim her nail but it won’t burn her skin it actually stops when it feels resistance.

This gadget is a life saver if you are like me and the thought of clipping your baby’s nails with clippers makes you break out in a sweat and full of sheer terror. This is easy to use and works great. She pretty much sleeps through it every time so it definitely doesn’t hurt her. When I do use it while she’s awake she doesn’t flinch or seem to mind at all. The light on the end is super helpful if you’re using it in a dimly light nursery while baby is sleeping. I recommended this to all the new moms I know and will definitely be giving it as a gift at future baby showers.

I was so sure that baby nail clippers would be fine for us, boy was I wrong. Newborns nails are so flimsy and small that trying to use baby nail clippers on them is next to impossible. We bought this dremel/naik trimmer and it’s amazing! I recommend it to anyone who is expecting and tell them to put it on their registry. It comes with everything you need and you can even use it on yourself. We started using this from week one and my babies no longer have raptor claws and don’t even mind when I use this on them.

My daughter suffers from baby eczema and she needs to be moisturized frequently so she doesn’t get chaffed skin and scratch herself with her little razor sharp nails. This is a must-have product if you have a newborn. We accidentally snipped our first-born finger with a nail clipper…I think every FTM can empathize about freaking out when this happens. With my second, I discovered this handy-tool and we never have to use a nail clipper for her.
