Works good. Once you get used to how it handles while cutting, it’s a breeze to use. Just be very careful.

So I took this out of the package, and found that I had to take the blue hub out to get it on my grinder. In the process the two plates came apart and I had to reassemble it. It is easy to put the chain on backwards. Make sure you look at the rotation diagram on the bottom plate and assemble it so that it cups down. You will likely have to adjust the blade so that it fits evenly in between the plates before you tighten it down the drive shaft bolt for use. Overall I am happy. Another tool in my kit for whatever project comes my way.

I love this thing, it cuts wood like butter but you have to be careful, use your grinder guard, safety glasses and some thick gloves because this things could cut your fingers off.

If you can use a chainsaw to carve or turn with a lathe, this is a great addition to your power carving tools. I usually use a chain saw to carve out large bowls, end grain and long grain. The photo is of a red maple end grain bowl that I roughed out with a chain saw in about 30 to 40 minutes and smoothed with this tool in less than 10 minutes. A practiced hand leaves a finish with minimal tool marks. This 14″ bowl (8″ deep) needs little sanding to finish. I carve an end grain bowl into each end of a short log and then measure and cut the log about 1″ from the bottom of each bowl leaving me with two bowls from each short log. It’s easier to cut the bowls from a heavy log because it negates the need for clamping and a short log at about 28″ (anvil height) is just the right height for using this tool. Enjoy and be safe.

I have never used a similar product but this one certainly fills the need for which I bought it. The transaction was processed very smoothly. Therefore I am a happy buyer!
