Works great! We have a two man Mallard Kayak. It is really heavy 95 pounds. In almost all conditions this anchor will hold it in place on the lake. I have run into one time where the wind picked up strong and it didn’t want to bite the bottom well. Slid along. But only once. And to be fair it wasn’t much fun being out that day. And the idea I could throw an anchor over and enjoy staying in one place for a bird photo was kind of stretching it. The reviewer that said change the mount was really helpful. He said tie the rope on the bottom and use a weak twist tie to hold it at the top. Then if you ever get it really stuck you can yank yard… break the zip tie and pull the rope from the bottom of the anchor so it will unstick. I got a longer softer rope. Not sure there was anything wrong with the other. Just liked it better.

Good product at a good price. I ended up cutting the line and reattaching to the bottom and zip tying the top (saw this on the web for getting it unstuck). I kept it in my basket on my Kayak and would hook it up when needed, but unfortunately I didn’t have it tied to anything when I dumped the Kayak in the rapids. It is now swimming with the fishes until someone finds it at the bottom of the Shenandoah… I had to buy another one and the new one will always be attached.

Love my new anchor. I do a lot of kayaking and overall floating on my local lake. It’s annoying when you are relaxing to get blown down a lake. This little guy is perfect. Keeps me in one place. The padded bag is awesome. No worries about puncturing my tube or inflatable kayak. Or if I want to get out and swim, my “ride” isn’t going anywhere.
I did buy some more rope for deeper lakes. Looked up knots on the internets on how to properly tie.
Great product! Does just what I need it to do.

Just right to hold my 12′ kayak in place while fishing. If the current isn’t too strong, I don’t even need to open the flukes. I made sure to undo the rope as it came and re-do it in a “breakaway” configuration using a steel bread tie. As it’s configured out of the box, it’s easy to lose on the bottom if it gets tangled in roots or rocks.

This anchor is perfect because its lightweight and portable. It holds my 800+ lbs of inflatable boat with gear. I like that it has 4 prongs that help hold it to the ground and that you can collapse the prongs for storage. Only complaint would be the rope is kind of short but for my application it works great
