Save time and avoid frustration hardware jig. This is such a simple idea and works extremely well. If you want to professional look put this jig to use. It is not a tool you’ll use everyday, but when you do need it you’ll be glad you have it. The carrying case it comes with is also very nice, and will surly keep all the parts together.I hope this was helpful.

My husband and I and just renovated our kitchen and that included painting our cabinets and switching out the existing knobs with new 4″ handles. I was searching for tools that would make the process as simple as possible and came across drill guides. After comparing this with some other more expensive ones I decided to give this one a try. Not disappointed at all.My husband said this made the process go so much quicker versus using a smaller plastic piece he got from a furniture store. Everything was straight forward and lined up perfectly for him. He was very impressed. He did have a problem with the first hole that he drilled lining up correctly, but admitted that it was his mistake in learning how to use the tool.I asked if he had any complaints about the drill guide at all and he said that if he intended to use it as a professional for everyday use he would go with something more heavy duty and professional grade. But for home projects this drill guide was perfect.

This drill guide worked very good. I had over 30 doors and drawers to drill and install handles in my kitchen. The guide works best with a 3/16″ drill bit. If you have hard wood like I did (maple) I would also recommend a new drill bit. I also found clamping the guide to the drawer or door, makes the guide more stable. Just an inexpensive vice grip c clamp from harbor freight seemed to work fine (2 clamps). Overall this is a tool that you most people won’t use very often, but it will make installing cabinet handles much easier.

Was ready to pay someone to install our cabinet hardware after a disastrous firsts attempt. My wife found this tool and it was a breeze. The only margin of error, which has nothing to do with the tool, is that you have to drill the hole precisely straight. This thing definitely lines up the holes with ease.

Perfect for our needs. I installed 64 knobs and pulls. For occasional use or diy projects this worked great. If you need to install cabinet knobs professionally, I would invest in something heavier duty as the jig has some flex. The jig is designed to be held against the top and the side of a door or drawer. On wide drawers I had pulls with 8” on center. I could only set the jig against the top, as the jig isn’t wide enough. It was easy enough to just mark the center and hold the jig on the mark. I am very pleased with how our knobs came out.
