Not been down 3 weeks yet but it is looking good. Grass is already 1″ – 2″ tall. The roll you get is easy to cut and lay just need to keep the watering going as per the instructions.

Removed a huge shrub from a sloped area where the grass had died out. Cut this stuff in pieces to fit around a new round rock garden placed over the stump. Watered faithfully 2-3 times per day and the grass is really coming up after about 3 weeks, this has been with cool nights, shaded area, deer walking all over it and tearing it, and mushrooms sprouting under it. Love the fact that it stays in place where you put it. Wish it was a little better $ bargain, quite expensive for grass seed, 50 square feet doesn’t go far. All in all though a very good product, especially for an area with a slope to keep the seed in place.

Works exactly as stated. Probably best to either spread topsoil over it if your area is windy. When I put it down the wind was non-existent. As soon as I had it all laid out as I needed the very next day strong winds arrived and were here to stay. They kept disturbing the pieces and I kept having to go out and put them back in place. I eventually spread topsoil over most of it to hold it in place. Staking it down doesn’t work because it immediately becomes very fragile once wet and tears easily so no stakes would ever work.

Easy to use, and honestly I don’t remember what i paid but I’m sure it was far less than buying seed. I had some issues because we had a rain storm that I wasn’t expecting. I had some wash out occur but my most difficult spot to grow grass is actually doing really well. I also had a puppy and children that have .42 acre of yard to play in, but they couldn’t seem to stay off of my 8×5 patch of Grotrax. Anyhow, I’m about to order some more and this time I’ll try to protect it better. Either way, I’m far happier with this product than I’ve ever been with grass seed.

At first I did not think this stuff would work. But it sure did. After about 5 days or so you see the grass begin to grow. This is the first time in years and hundreds of dollars later I’ve been able to get grass to grow in this spot. Please follow the directions. I did not cut this grass for about 5 weeks. I just wanted it to grow in real good and full. I will definitely buy this again.

I rated this product a few times; my first I was unhappy but didn’t give up. It took longer for my grass to grow but when it did it was awesome. I started by planting 3 large rolls and waited, it took 4 weeks to show well. Since it looked pretty good,I proceeded to plant about half my yard and this time I sprayed the dirt with Miracle gro. The grass came in much faster and so I finished planting. I kept spraying it with the Miracle gro and because I had mega ants I used malathian. It’s been about 8 weeks now and my neighbors say my grass is the greenest on the block.

WOW… for years, I’ve tried to get grass to grow in a certain spot behind the patio which have pretty much failed. Spot repairs, hay/fertilizer, anything that I could do. All I did with this was scrape down about an inch and water 1-2 times per day. Not even 2 weeks later, grass was growing. Now it’s been 4 weeks and I’ve had to mow 3 times after it first reached 3 inches in height. Looks wonderful.

We have been trying grass seed for months with very little success, we laid this down in trial spots (as it was not nearly enough to cover the entire space) and a week in we are seeing results! The pics don’t do it justice, and remember it’s only been 1 week, but grass is growing.

This stuff is pretty incredible! We removed some artificial turf from our yard and wanted to replace it with grass. We ended up doing one section at a time so our dog still had a place to potty. The first half took about 11 days to see some sprouts and in about a month it was very full grass. The second half of the yard was laid down a week ago yesterday and is already about 2 inches long. Think it may be the extra sun we have had. Would absolutely recommend, soil just needs to be tilled a bit (honestly didn’t even worry too much about this with the second half) and lots of watering. Awesome product!

This is the best product ever! Easy to use, good for all areas( sun or shade). Haven’t had issues with birds, simple to install, grows quickly, doesn’t wash away, no need to buy Fertilizer separately because it’s included, even growth patterns, and looks great! I have tried so many different types of seed and sod.. this is like too good to be true! I love it!!

Works great! After like a week already seeing little grass hairs. Stuff is amazing. I don’t really have much wind cause of the surrounding trees. So I didn’t need to steak it to the ground. With it being wet most of the time to grow at first it stayed on the ground. Def a good purchase. Soooo worth it! Al in one easy step! I just don’t see trying to grow grass any other way.
